主讲简介：戴胜研究员1990年于美国田纳西大学获得博士学位，现任美国橡树岭国家实验室首席科学家。研究领域包括离子液体、多孔碳材料、氧化物材料、催化与能源储存科学中的先进纳米材料。他先后在Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie-International Edition, Journal of American Chemistry Society发表了600余篇SCI收录论文，授权发明专利28件。引用次数超过2.8万次，H指数84。 戴胜研究员先后获得美国Battelle S&T Challenges 奖1次、R&D100 奖6次和美国Battelle杰出发明家奖1次。
主讲内容：Functional materials using or in the presence of ionic liquids represents a burgeoning direction in materials chemistry. Ionic liquids are a family of non-conventional molten salts that can act as both functional materials and solvents. They offer many advantages, such as negligible vapor pressures, wide liquidus ranges, good thermal stability, tunable solubility of both organic and inorganic molecules, and ion conductivity. The unique solvation environment of these ionic liquids provides new reaction and separation media for controlling many energy-related processes. We have recently developed a class of ionic liquids with intrinsic porosities based on nanoscopic building blocks.1 Challenges and opportunities in synthesizing and using these porous ionic liquids in energy-related applications will be discussed.
